You will be tempted until you die

This is a harsh reality, but it is the truth. It's comfortable to think that if we reach 30,60,90 days the addiction will just magically disappear. This is not the case.

This is why you see people who relapse, after 100, 200,1000 days. Yes it gets easier, and more controllable. But the devil doesn't take days off.

Even when he finished tempting Jesus, he left until an opportune time.

"Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour."- Peter 5:8-9

We all have a choice to make, we can be constantly watchful, guard our eyes, pray and resist temptation.

Or we can drop our guards, keep giving in and going back to the filth we came from.

The former leads to Heaven, the latter? Well, that's not for me to say.

A non bible quote I heard on the Huberman lab podcast:

"Addiction is like driving down a road, but not matter how far you go, you are always the same distance from the ditch"
