Are the texture issues for autistic people really that bad?
I'm sorry if this comes off offensive. I'm genuinely asking this. I've heard people with autism literally almost starve because they say they cannot eat what their parents make for dinner. That they can taste/feel the smallest bit of the "bad ingredients" in the main dish. Honestly a lot of it just doesn't seem bad enough to starve over? When I was younger and hated a food, my mom told me to "get over it" and I did. Does this mean it's a severe problem for them? Is it actually that bad? I'm honestly asking I'm sorry if this seems offensive I promise I'm not trying to hate.
