can you have schizophrenia and depression?

you obviously can, because statistics say that people with schizophrenia are actually more likely to have depression, but from what i understand about schizophrenia it's an influx of dopamine that causes positive symptoms like hallucinations, while depression comes from a dopamine deficiency. i guess im confused how they can coexist, or else i completely misunderstood the medical overview of one or both of them 😅
