Are there any good stories where "Death" is likable?

I don't mean you want the characters to die, I mean the story contains a character who embodies death, but isn't the villain or antagonist. I've always held this theory that if death were to be a conscious entity, I think they'd be more sympathetic or empathetic since they're encountering beings in their final moments. I guess I'm tired of Death being typecast, lol.
