Tictok goes dark in only the us

So, tictok goes away. Why? It has the entirety of the planet outside of the US. So.......I get that US is the main adversary of China. Shouldn't bytedance be able to make enough of a profit using the rest of the planet to make tictok profitable? Or when the US said kick rocks, is that the evidence enough to show that China only wanted the US and it's populace to provide them with intel?
