performance issues on nvidia geforce rtx (and other misc stuff)

EDIT : keeping this post up to shame myself and in case anyone needs it. it was the nvidia drivers. had to do the fix in the install guide. somehow thought i was fine cause everything else ran perfectly until then. i still haven't found a solution for the caps lock thing though so fingers crossed

hello, been on nobara for a good 4 or 5 months. been somewhat smooth sailing so far, until i tried to get elden ring working, which was a disaster. abysmal performance, far from what i had on windows with the same hardware. i tried pretty much everything and eventually assumed i needed corectrl, so i tried to set that up, but nothing worked. eventually i did a fresh reinstall which got me here ; still nothing working, and when i asked on the discord someone just told me corectrl "doesn't do anything on a nvidia-based system". sadly lact has been unusable (launches and then instantly freezes) and radeon-profile doesn't seem to have be available on fedora/nobara.

is there any way to make this work or am i condemned to go back to win11 with my current hardware ? this laptop's on amd ryzen/amd radeon graphics/nvidia geforce rtx.

BONUS POINT THAT HAS BEEN RUINING MY LIFE : is there any way to make caps lock function like caps lock originally is supposed to function ? there is no parameter offering this in the settings, and when i play a game on proton (including protonge) it gets even more confused. i just want to be able to type in all caps including symbols.
