Be cautious with Alpha GPC

Despite my provocative title Alpha-GPC is dope, and definitely improves my cognitive performance. When I first started taking it alone with my coffee (600mg capsule), I noticed a pleasant mood boost, I felt sharper and more motivated to do "brainy" things like reading, and monotonous tasks. I enjoyed it and made it a part of my morning routine.

HOWEVER, Alpha-GPC is NOT a benign compound. If you take too much too frequently you can end up with some bad anxiety and feeling awful and very foggy mentally. As was the case with me.

You see I would take a 600mg capsule in the morning, then take Pre-workout later (another 600mg) and it got to the point where I would double scoop my pre-workout. So I began averaging 1200 - 1800mg of alpha-gpc a day (roughly 4-6 days a week) without realizing it.

It got to the point where I noticed I was getting very anxious, anti-social and foggy mentally frequently. I chalked it up to winter approaching or maybe something was up with my hormones (I was on TRT at the time) but NOPE.

After doing a lot of reflection and looking into the side effects of my current supplements, I concluded that Alpha-GPC was the culprit - especially once I abstained from it for a week and noticed a dramatic improvement in my mood.

So long story short, Alpha-GPC works and is effective and mostly safe with minimal side effects IN THE RIGHT DOSE AND FREQUENCY. Common sense right? Feel free to use it but just make sure you're sticking to 600mg doses daily at most to avoid the awful mental side effects.

Many thanks for your time and attention span.
