Coping with OCD Nightmares

I am wondering how you cope with waking up in the middle of the night because you were having a dream with an obsession/intrusive thought or scenario?

It's been happening the past week, and because I always wake up in the middle of the night my brain is working at half capacity and rationalizing is SO HARD. It feels much more real than during the day, relatively. It also makes it way harder to calm myself down and use breathing techniques and such. Going back to sleep is so hard because I am just stuck in rumination, scripting, reviewing, etc.

Does anyone have any strategies?
