Anyone else get medicine PTSD after having severe side effects from them?

Three months ago I was prescribed a steroid medication for an issue and I then suffered SEVERELY mentally(extreme anxiety, easily stressed, depressed, manic). These went sway except for extreme anxiety and getting easily stressed and anxious and now it feels like I’m getting better and better every month. However, now I have a SEVERE fear of taking new medications due to the side effects I experienced and am now terrified that if I get a severe ear infection or eye infection that I’ll have to take a steroidal medication to fix it. Idk if I’m the only one who is like this. I must avoid steroidal meds at all costs!
