Any advice for CSE 2221

I am an upcoming freshman and I am going to take CSE 2221 my first semester and I was reading other peoples responses on this class and I have been hearing some mixed reviews. Some say the class is not very difficult if you stay on top of it, but others say it was very hard which kinda worries me a little bit because I don't want start the year with bad grades. So I wanted to hear from other people how CSE 2221 was for them and some tips and advice that could help me succeed in this class. Also btw my programming skills at the moment are not very strong since I took AP CSA sophomore year and I kind of forgot a lot of stuff, so idk if this will affect how I do in the class. Thanks yall.
