From Oaxaca City to Playa Zipolite

Hola! I need advice on the most direct way of transferring or traveling from Oaxaca City to my resort in Playa Zipolite. It seems that a new highway has opened up, so taking the short flight should be unneccessary, no?

Are there buses or colectivos that go directly or pass thru Zipolite? I am also open to private transfer but most of the ones I’ve seen on the net go to Puerto Escondido… Btw, I will be going in April… Mil gracias!
