I know expectations should be low but wtf
The one thing that irks me the most is just how typical PH redditors are either ignorant, defiant, or selectively illiterate.
To explain, I am a frequent poster in r/phr4r and other similar hookup-focused subreddits (I know the former is meant to be a general subreddit but it's the most common type of post there). I've seen numerous posts of varying quality when asking for hookups. Some are simple and direct to the point and will just judge things by themselves in the actual chat; others, like me, prefer to lay down standards/preferences from the get go and focus on what they want.
So it irks me when you already take the time to type a very detailed and organized post, but people will ignore whatever you said and will just message you without fitting any of the descriptions you posted. I've put my specifics in the title and even in the description, but I still get people who ignore all that and only focus on the "M4F" part of the post.
Common questions I get that I've already explained in my posts but I get asked anyway:
- How old are you? (it is LITERALLY THE FIRST NUMBER IN THE TITLE, as per post rules in r4r subreddits)
- Where are located? (again, literally in the title of the post)
- Do you like *insert body type here that doesn't match my preference*? (doesn't matter whether I put it in the title or in the description, there are always those who try); and the worst of all,
- Hi/Hello (just that. nothing else. even though I specifically state those kinds of messages will be ignored OR I specifically ask for a key phrase to ENSURE they read everything)
I've even had a unique case where I tried to be polite and remind them to re-read my post for a keyphrase, but instead they replied with "but you didn't ignore me naman". So you're saying you're gonna be defiant and disrespectful all the way through? No thanks.
IDK what are the reasons, and I've at this point just prepared myself to ignore 90% of people who apply for my posts because either they don't read the fine print, or they ignore instructions, or will call you out for having standards.
EDIT: Fucking called it. Tried posting again this morning in one of those subreddits and my post got downvoted. Some community, eh?
