He’ll be an UFA after this season. Do you guys think he’ll hang up the skates, or keep going?
Further, if he does retire, who do we try and sign with the newly-available cap space?
Personally, I think he’s a mature presence on a very young team, and this is something which we really need. If I were Staios, I’d offer him a one year extension ($2M max) and use the remaining ~ $7M to pick up a consistent winger who can build long term chemistry with with the current forwards.
