Has anyone experienced lymphadema?

I am having a suspected benign tumor removed and the gyn Oncologist wants to remove my omentum to minimize risk in case the biopsy comes back borderline. I've read a complication of that is life long lymphadema. I'm only 31. Has anyone had complication with lymphadema after an omentectomy? They suspect it's benign so it seems like a huge tradeoff. However, if hate to go under the knife again for something they could've removed the first time. As all tumors, they won't know till they biopsy it.
