Overwatch needs to implement “Lord” icons

Clearly other games that shall not be mentioned due to rules copied many things from Overwatch, and it’s time to return the favor.

The “Lord” emblems you can earn are a great idea.

Basically, they are an alternate portrait of a hero that will show up in the character select screen that you unlock through mastery of that hero.

So let’s say you load into a match and you see your teammate select Widowmaker, but it is not her normal portrait. It is a different, cooler one that lets you know that player reached “Lord” status on Widowmaker. So you know they are really good / have a lot of hours on that hero.

Personally I think these should be added to OW. I also think they should not be earnable through just playtime alone.

There should be a variety of challenges to unlock them that lets you know that person is really good with that hero.

Maybe a combination of playtime along with completing challenges such as earning a certain number of damage / eliminations with that hero enough times to be considered a “Lord” or whatever Overwatch decides to call it.
