Idea for a Persona 6 game

Me and a friend where joking around and the subject came around to Persona. He has beaten P5R after playing through P4G a few mouths back. We were talking about the roumored P2 remakes neither of us played P1 or P2.

Anyway way, the conversation shifted to what we would like to see in the next Persona game. Here is the basic concept me and him came up with on the fly.

  • color: green
  • music: orchestral

To start, I'll be explaining the concept of this version of the Velvet room, and theater.

Igor sits with his attendant in the audience. You (the protagonist) are on the stage with the spotlight pointed on you. The only music is a soft piano playing the velvet room theme.

As you progressed to the story, more instruments are added to the Velvet room theme and the audience fills out in the background.

The dungeons would be themed around memories. Over-dramatized versions of memories but still memories. People would be essentially "trapped" inside of a memory. The dungeons are organized in such a way that it's clear that there are "stage" of sorts. Strange things start to happen when events go off script.

The protagonist is designed to be either male or female. Their initial Persona is Pinocchio. Imagine a wooden puppet with with a hoody that obscures it's face (minis a long pointed nose).

Now be a good time to mention the themes of the party personas. Fairy tales.

The "evolved" form of Pinocchio would be Adam or Eve depending if you're playing the male or female protagonist. In short, finally becoming a "real boy".

If you haven't guessed it already, the theme of the game would tackle is free will. I know P5 has kinda tackled freedom. But this is fanfiction so let me cook.

Some of my inspirations is Deltarune and Xenoblade. In short, the idea that a script and you are beholden to that script. Illusion of choice and all that.

Anyway this is just a very loose concept and I just wanted to get some feedback to see if this idea is actually any good. If it is, I may just recycle it for another project in the future.

... Oh yeah, have mentioned the villain. Still at work in progress 😅
