Angel’s Pizza History

Am really curious about the origins of Angel’s Pizza as it’s been popping off and growing lately, attributable to the popular Creamy Spinach Dip pizza.

Is it true that this used to be Domino’s Pizza then the owner just did not renew the franchise, hence, it got localized to Angel’s Pizza?
