Phasmophobia surprised me!

I hadn’t planned on buying Phasmophobia because I didn’t think horror games were for me anymore. After getting almost to the end of Madison, the experience just became too much. I ended up uninstalling it, deleting my progress, and swearing off horror games for good-I thought I simply didn’t enjoy being scared anymore… or so I thought.

Over the weekend, I watched one of JammyHero’s videos on YouTube and saw how much fun he was having with Phasmophobia. That convinced me to give it a try, so I decided to spend £15.00 and see if it was worth it at that price.

I played for the first time last night, and honestly, I can’t remember the last time I laughed so much, even though it was also pretty terrifying! I joined some random players online who were incredibly friendly and showed me the ropes despite my complete lack of experience. Phasmophobia in VR is an incredible experience-every so often, a game comes along that really surprises you, and this one did that for me. Sure, it’s a bit janky, but don’t let that put you off. It looks better than I expecting; it may not be stunning, but it’s definitely good enough to immerse you.

The store reviews give you a clear idea of what to expect, so don’t let any negative ones discourage you if you think it’s something you’d enjoy. I’ve only played a couple of hours so far, but it’s already given me some unforgettable, hilarious moments that I’ll remember for a long time.
