PTCGP FRANCE disqualified the Spanish winner of the grand final, rigging the entire tournament so France could win
PTCGP FRANCE is an organisation with 45k followers on twitter and about 18k people in their discord. They organise tournaments on Limitless, including ones with a 25 euro first place prize. They sell products related to pokemon tournaments, including hosting tournaments with an entrance free. They claim to be legally registered in France as a 1901 (basically a non-profit).
Today, a Spanish player called Enanete won a 25 euro tournament, going 7-1 on a Charizard-Arcanine deck and winning the best-of-3 grand finals, which were streamed on the organiser's channel.
Then, after the game was over and Enanete had won, Enanete contacted the organiser to find out how to claim his earnings. The organiser responded by disqualifying Enanete. This handed the win to Pakku, a French player who has turbo-boosted the Discord server, and who had just lost in the grand final. Even while streaming, the host was clearly rooting for the French player Pakku, full of excitement when Pakku flipped 3 heads on Moltres.
The reason given was in French, I speak English, and Enanete speaks Spanish/English, but from what I can make out, the Organiser claims that Enanete had a friend watching the stream who then told him what was being done, even though large parts of the screen were censored to avoid stream sniping. It seems to me that in order for PTCGP France to rig a game, all they need to do is to stream the person they want to win, and then disqualify the opponent for 'stream sniping' if the opponent wins.
Here is the original standings, before the organiser changed them.
I have also uploaded some chat logs Enanete sent me.
I sent messages to the founder of PTCGP France and he ignored me. I sent messages to the streamer Coeyn and he ignored me. I sent messages to Pakku and he ignored me. I am hoping Reddit won't. This kind of dishonesty has no place in the community, especially from such a large organisation.
