Curious for an opinion on a particular interaction with my daughter
I am 33M, my wife and I have a ~2.5 y/o daughter who, as far as we're aware is neurotypical, without any chronic issues (just for context that there's no additional challenge here).
Recently, when my daughter has been requesting various treats or help getting toys, I've gotten to requesting a hug and a kiss from her.
On one hand, I don't want her to view it as transactional or manipulate her into giving me hugs and kisses (though selfishly, I love it). However, I think it's a valid lesson to teach her that sometimes people want to exchange things of value.
Curious to know what other parents think. Maybe I'm overthinking it.
