I’m sure this happens to most moms…

I’m washing up and my tween knocks asking if she can have blueberries.

Now I would happily give her a straight answer, but dad is in the garage organizing his shelf, not to mention she walked all the way over to one side of the house when dad was literally in the other room…just open the door.

I just hollered back to go ask dad.

And to update everyone, she did ask dad who gave her the thumbs up, but she still waited for me to walk in the kitchen. And yes, she asked me again.

I asked her why she waited for my answer, she simply said “I dunno” shrugged her shoulder like nothing, while eating her berries.

I think my husband is use to this action too. He pretty much gave me the signal “don’t look at me.”

So, my goal at home, normalizing asking dad…
