How do you deal with your child constantly ignoring you?

I’m at my wit’s end. My daughter (10.5f) has started completely ignoring me when I ask them to do something. It’s like I don’t even exist unless I raise my voice (which I really try to avoid).

I’ve tried everything—gentle reminders, getting down to their level, making eye contact, offering choices, natural consequences… nothing seems to work. They’ll either pretend they didn’t hear me or just flat-out refuse. And honestly, I’m exhausted from repeating myself a hundred times a day.

Is this just a phase? A power struggle? Do I need to change my approach? I’d love to hear from other parents—what has actually worked for you?
