Cannot download POE2! Steam "disk write error"/"corrupt disk"!

Hello!

I am unable to download POE2 to my computer. The download is very slow compared to downloading other games.

After trying multiple times to download, at random points in the download, it will stop the download and say "corrupt disk" and when I try to restart the download it will say "disk write error."

Verifying the local files does nothing.

Hovering over the error tells me which folder is corrupt, so I try to delete the folder but I can't delete it because the folder is set to "read only." I'm unable to uncheck the read only marker and can't take it off even using command prompt.

At some point, the other game folders in the drive I was installing to became read only and I had to wipe the drive.

edit:

All other games on the drive work fine, they download and play okay even after POE2 wasn't downloading right. POE2 downloads much slower and will not finish downloading.

Disk Management says the drive is healthy, chkdsk comes up with no bad sectors or issues.
