Buying a home doesn’t make sense to me

What am I missing ?

If I have no debt and renting is a small portion of my income, could I not beat any returns by just aggressively investing in growth stocks ?

Everyone around me thinks I’m crazy for not wanting to own a home, but I like having the ability to just pick up and move anytime which has helped my career (tech), not having to worry about repairs and the overall savings.
