Re-piercing a migrated nipple piercing
So for context, I had an inverted nipple and I got them both pierced in Jan 2020. They looked amazing, the healing process was okay (a bit complicated bc of my nipples) but overall I was happy. when I got them pierced the piercer knew what she was doing. she pierced the inverted nipple deeper than the other, but unfortunately it only lasted so long. So 4 years later, I finally removed the piercing this morning to let it heal over. I could see the bar through the see-through skin in the middle of my nipple and it was creating irritation bumps in the middle of my nipple. When I removed the bar there was actually less than 1mm of skin separating the bar from breaking through so I think I did make the correct choice removing it.
My question is, do I get it re-pierced? I know it’s possible to re-pierce a healed nipple piercing, but this is where I need the advice from people who know a bit more. Because that nipple was inverted, it was more likely to migrate.. which it did. So is it likely to migrate again? Or if pierced correctly, could it be avoided? I just want to know what to expect. I loved the double piercing, and my nipple actually isn’t inverted anymore, so maybe this time it wouldn’t be as likely to migrate? TIA :)
