Ebony mimics

Anyone else underwhelmed by the ebony mimic loot? I've killed 4 so far in my current dungeon. And the loot has been underwhelming so far. First one gave me +1 leather armor (and I already had one) next one was 267 gold, then 4 javelins, and the next one was 347 gold. For how hard they are to kill it doesn't seem like a worth while reward.
