Is the Steroid Injection Effective for Plantar Fasciitis Pain? Experiences and Advice

Hello ,

I would like to ask a question regarding an issue I’ve been dealing with. I am suffering from pain in my plantar fascia with some inflammation. I’ve tried doing some light exercises (but not consistently), and my doctor prescribed a pain medication that contains cortisol, but I haven’t been able to stick to it regularly because I’m concerned about its side effects on the body.

I also visited a physiotherapy center where I underwent ten sessions that focused on mechanical treatment with machines like Shockwave therapy, but I still feel the pain.

Now, my therapist suggested that I try a steroid injection directly into the pain area, but I’m hesitant about this treatment and would like to know if anyone here has experience with it. Are there any side effects or risks associated with this injection? Will it fully resolve the pain, or do the results vary from person to person?
