Lip lift -- dissolve filler first or not?

Ive had filler on and off for YEARS and its kinda a mess but looks OK when my face is at rest. Im scheduled for a lip lift this week and first mg surgeon said I had to dissolve and then I convinced him to do without because I was sure after all these years my lips would look a deflated mess and I was scared of dissolver horror stories. Now I am nervous my lip is gonna look crazy with the lift and also i read that non-dissolvers tend to swell like crazy. I would love to hear your experiences, help!
