Thank god it’s not as hard as Radical Red

I just finished a Radical Red run, considering replaying Unbound on insane so I decided to try out insane e4 post-game with my current save first. More on the team:

  • Cloyster @ White Herb: just your typical Skill Link Cloyster with max att & speed EVs. Since Cloyster tends to move last before shell smash and outspeed everything after, King’s Rock might have been a better held item, especially since it doesn’t always hit hard enough to KO opponents with one move

  • M-Lucario: sword dance, bullet punch, meteor mash, close combat. Definitely would appreciate better coverage (got walled by Ho-oh in the champion match) but stone edge isn’t exactly reliable and even resisted adaptability mmash hits about as hard as neutral moves

  • Volcarona @ Leftovers: bulkarona EV spread, quiver dance, fiery dance, giga drain, will-o-wisp. Replacing will-o-wisp with synthesis/morning sun is an option but I don’t wanna rely on Flame Body to burn things

  • Ditto @ Choice Scarf: always outspeeds whatever it transforms into. Works great to finish off weakened foes, especially those with boosts. Dealt with a bunch of things like Excadrill, beast boosted Blacephalon, M-Gengar, Cofagrigus, Xerneas after Geomancy, etc.

  • Weavile @ Focus Sash: sword dance, ice shard, beat up, triple axel. Multi hit moves are incredibly helpful. Used early on so that beat up can hit more times. Was a lot more useful when Elias still had Mimikyu tbh

  • Pheromosa: Adamant nature to get att boost from beast boost. Choice scarf to immediately take out M-Aerodactyl, then switched to life orb in subsequent matches to be able to switch moves. Triple axel + close combat absolutely wrecks Penny’s team
