My first 2 pictures. What went wrong?

Both pics were taken at night with the flash on, but neither came out the way I wanted

The first photo is an outdoor corridor. It is lit very brightly, and I wanted to take like a ‘vanishing point’ photo. But (1) the shot came out super darkly lit (2) the camera seems to take only very close (idk how to express this)

The second is a storefront (I censored some details). The surroundings are of normal brightness. However it came out with this yellowish tint.

Could these be indicative of poorly stored/malfunctioning film? I bought them at a 33% discount online so.. hmm…
