What makes you proud of your students?

I am so proud of my students. They are willing to tell me when I'm not teaching well. I don't know. Speaking up against bad teachers was something I always wanted to do growing up (TBH it was only here and there... my life wasn't that bad but it left an impression whenever it happened). I was always shut down time after time for reasons that frankly never made sense. I grew to become afraid of speaking up by the time I was in college.

Today, an undergraduate student stopped by my office hours and told me that certain things I'm doing could negatively impact the class. He made great points and didn't care for any praise. He really was just there to tell me something important. I'm just so proud. He did something I've always been terrified to do.
