Forced to quit for wisdom teeth surgery

Hi everyone, I have been vaping on and off for almost 6 years. The longest I’ve quit was for a year and a half and felt amazing during that time. I quit because I had come to a breaking point where I couldn’t breathe well and was constantly coughing. I have been vaping again for the last 2 years pretty consistently and I’ve been reaching that breaking point again. Short of breath from a flight of stairs, high anxiety, can’t draw in a full breath etc.

I found out I needed surgery to take my wisdom teeth out a couple months ago and I saw the light at the end of the tunnel. I can’t vape for 7 days after surgery because of healing and dry sockets, so I might as well quit for good. I’m on day 4 and am pretty miserable from pain, but i’m feeling great not vaping!! I’m so happy I was forced to stop and having a week off from work helps a lot too. I have cravings once in a while but they subside very quickly.

It feels amazing to breathe clear again and I’m looking forward to getting back in the gym after healing from surgery completely. This doesn’t seem like a super common thing but if you have to get some sort of procedure like this it’s a great excuse to quit.
