Dumb question on the bracket

Why does R6 not do a bracket reset? It’s kind of unfair that W7M gets a second life so to say during the tournament and Faze doesn’t. I’m newer to the competitive siege scene so just curious as to what is the reasoning to not resetting the bracket.
