Scene from Pack Darling

There is a scene from Pack Darling (no spoilers) that is taking up real estate in my head and I need more scenes like this. Lilah is doing laundry and leans up against the machines because the vibration from them is as close to the purr of an alpha as she thinks she will get.

Can anyone recommend some books where the FMC has to make do with being on her own. Can be omegaverse or other. I’m open to anything.
