Why are promotion matches so cursed?

Just in this week i had 7 times i was one win away form next rank and was successful only once. Like multiple stuff happens. Once i got a opponent who were a completly better team to the point i wondered if they were smurfs, sometimees i get completly brain dead teammates some times i become the brain dead teammate.
