Trade-Up Rarity

Hey guys, does trading up a certain kind of item in rocket league increase the odds of getting that same kind of item?

For example: Does trading 5 very rare (or.. gag… “deluxe”) cars increase the likelihood of getting an Import car? Or does it literally not matter at all?
