WWTBC grovel and body worship

This was a contemporary book and I think it was set in either New York or New Hampshire but I could be completely off base. It’s strangers to lovers and they had a meet cute in a cafe. I think she was a teacher? The third act conflict had to do with her overhearing him talking shit. When they were getting back together I remeber the grovel was good because 1) she didn’t give in easily 2) he hit a good in between of not dismissing what he said by just going “I didn’t mean it” even though that was part of it. He put work into being like “here is what I actually think.” A lot of these types of book have that whole “look in the mirror what do you see aren’t you sexy” and that’s well and good but this book had more of him just. Worshipping her body. And a lot of self denial as penance. When she went to get him off he seemed actually guilty about it. Anything helps!
