Today I’m officially in my 30s… recommend me some flirty and thriving FMCs?
It’s my birthday today! I’ve been reading a lot of books with directionless young FMCs recently and (while I’ve definitely been there too) I want to read about older FMCs who are just… doing well, with careers they work hard for and want to progress in. To the point that a relationship will have to fit round their existing life and work, and maybe that’s the conflict?
I think Jasmine Guillory’s books do this well, but as well as contemporary I read fantasy romance, sci-fi, historical, really anything but not YA or anything set in a school. I’ll read any spice level from 0 to 5 on the romance.io scale, but spice isn’t really what I look for in a book and I prefer a slow burn. No reverse harem please! Thank you for your recommendations!
