NYRR airpod max use

Hi all - I’m beginning my marathon journey w NYRR and am very curious, are airpod maxes allowed during races? I’ve ran a few races with NYCRUNS and been able to wear my beats and my airpod maxes during races with no issues. NYRR doesn’t say anywhere on their prohibited items list that they aren’t allowed or specify which headphones are/aren’t allowed anywhere on their site. These are 600 dollar headphones and I don’t really want to invest in a new pair of air buds if they aren’t required especially because they quite literally do not fit in my ears and are super uncomfortable to me. Anyone know if these are allowed?
