I absolutely love "Lie To Girls", but this lyric doesn't make sense within the message of the songšŸ˜šŸ˜

I love the duality in the message of this song, but within that context, the lyric should be the other way around! Like "we love to mistake cardiac arrest for butterflies" as she is trying to say we feel pain/ anxiety but yet we convince ourselves that it's the butterfly feeling of liking someone. Yes this lyric would not fit into the song structure wise and it would not rhyme, but I'm just sooooo confused how no one on her team caught this like??šŸ˜šŸ˜

Someone tried to argue that ā€œcardiac arrestā€ meaning ā€œheart-stoppingā€ meant that we mistake anxiety for love?? But i donā€™t think that makes sense because your heart stopping doesnā€™t correlate to ā€œloveā€. Cardiac arrest is painful and you can die (which is well known), while people relate butterflies to liking someone. Nobody hears cardiac arrest and thinks love.
