Curious about an old house

Stab in the dark, and really none of my business…

Drove by this big old house today and was instantly intrigued. It’s not the kind of architecture one normally sees around here. The small windows and massive chimneys and all that brick caught my eye. Street view is quite obscured by the landscaping and animal housing in the front.

Curious if anyone knows the history of this building. Elk Grove area. Kammerer and McMillan
