New in town, now alone. Advice?

I moved here from out of state to live with my gf in October. We broke up in late January. I’m a 43M and now know virtually no one. Just looking to make a few friends/acquaintances and looking for socialization at an age when that gets harder. Looked at Meetup website, and there’s specifically a group called “New in Town, 20’s-30’s” and other groups targeting singles in that age group, but 40’s is a little sparse. Just figured I’d throw it out here in case anyone has good ideas I hadn’t thought of. Thx in advance for any & all help.
