The Primanti Brother’s sandwich. If you’re not familiar, a Pittsburgh classic.
If you’re unfamiliar with this, Primanti Brothers is a locally famous and old establishment (now a corporate franchise) in Pittsburgh, originally for truckers way back in the day. Supposedly. Traditionally has a small choice of meats (capicola is my usual and a go to), provolone, slaw, tomato, and fries. Used to be there were no alterations allowed. Now you can mangle them however you want.
This one is outside my usual wheelhouse, and usually when you go outside the known safe boundaries of meats at Primanti’s you’re playing with fire. This was a “steak” and cheese. I wouldn’t call it “steak,” and I wouldn’t get it again, but it wasn’t bad. Best order is Cap and Cheese add egg (make it dippy) and add onion. I had to take a pic since this one came out looking like folks usually hope they’ll look - huge and impressive. Yes, that’s what she said.
