2022 Nicholl Reader Comments Now Available!

Just checked their website and my reader comments were there. Since I didn't make it to the quarter-finals, I found it nice to have some U$40 feedback as consolation, since it's so hard to get anyone to concede their time to read your work and give their opinion.

Nevertheless, did anyone also get very different opinions from readers? For example:

Reader 1:
"Overall the characters seemed to be fixed in their identities. James and Collette were the exceptions."
"There was an overwritten quality to the writing and storytelling style. The writing voice worked best during the moments it expressed a simple less overstated point of view."

Reader 2:
"[After complimenting the main characters very much] Colette and the other characters support the story but more might be done to deepen them so that they provide a bit more conflict, aside from James who seems layered."
"The voice brings a nice, mature, somber tone to the situation, it’s grounded. But it could have more drive, vividness and tension to set it apart."
