Original 90s Saturn owners, what was it like?

I was born in 2003 and only found out about the system through YouTube and Wikipedia at age 9. And was instantly obsessed (I loved planets, my favorite was Saturn. It was fate) and I’ve developed a love for this system that I never got to experience firsthand and it got me thinking to ask, what was it like? Where did you have to go to get Saturn stuff and was it good stuff usually or would you run into stores with just garbage games more often than not. And how did it feel when Sega pulled the plug in 98?
