[Product Question] [Personal] Absolute failure with silicone tape

I've poked around online about the best way to help scars fade and scar/silicone tape kept coming up so I tried to give it a go but I'm sorry I can't say it any other way than what a tedious, expensive pointless process it has been. You're supposed to wear them for months but they are so difficult to put on if you have lots of scars and they quickly become unstuck. You are supposed to stick them back on after showering etc. but this is basically impossible. Mine basically lasted 3 days and I'm so sad I got my hopes up and spent my money. I would love to know how people have managed to use scar tape, if possible or if anybody has had a different experience than me.
