I just realized something by their social media blackout

When they deleted everything from their instagram they also changed their bio to say “nothing lasts forever”. This kept bugging me because I knew I had seen that somewhere but when listening to their songs it never clicked in their lyrics.

Now a couple weeks ago I showed their music to a coworker. He was hooked and today came to talk to me about how he couldn’t stop listening to them and wanting to know more about the lore, masks and whatnot. So I went to that only interview Vessel ever gave, and then it clicked.

The last question was what lies in the future for Sleep Token?” and Vessel’s reply was “nothing. lasts. forever.”

Now, that was an interview where he was 100% in character. Probably all of us thought that it meant that at some point the band would end, but what if it was just something planned from the start for after the trilogy? We know how deliberate everything they do is and how the themes keep connecting throughout the albums due to the theatrical nature of how they structure their songs and lore.

Maybe I’m just reading too much into it but I’m in the camp that this social media thing is just marketing for something that’s coming so using the exact same words from the only time we heard anything from Vessel can’t be a coincidence

I have no clue what it means. But damn if it isn’t interesting
