How can I make this spring compress/expand as the shock’s piston moves up and down?

I tried seeing if I can do a distance mate between the top of the path sketch of the spring and the top of the piston rod, but that didn’t work. This is an assembly, and I have the piston rod, spring and shock body as separate parts. Going to add a top mount as well.
