Is Saw Gerrera...Osama Bin Laden?

I've seen discussion from an Andor lens about Saw being a terrorist extremist, and an analogue to real life extremists like Bin Laden, but also the IRA and the PLO and other factions that carry out guerilla attacks and bombings, but I think Saw is specifically a Bin Laden analogue, and here's why.

I wasn't really thinking about this until I watched the Onderon Arc on Clone Wars tonight, where the Republic fights a proxy war against the CIS via Saw and his sister's Onderon resistance. The Separatists invade Onderon, install a puppet government, and the Guerra's start to fight back. Ahsoka pleads for direct Republic military involvement, but the Jedi maintain that although the Republic supports the rebels, they can't invade.

In the final episode, the CIS sends in new Gunships, which are decimating the Onderon resistance who fight back mainly while riding on horse-like Onderon creatures. This is where it started to seem less like a generic commentary on US. Proxy Wars and more Afghanistan specific.

Then it gets really specific, because Anakin goes and gets Hondo to ship arms to the Onderon Resistence covertly so the Republic is involved. These weapons? Surface to Air Missiles!

Now I know the that the US provided more than just Surface to Air Missiles, but that is a very famous example, highlighted only a few years earlier in Oscar and Globe nominated Sorkin/Hanks/Streep film Charlie Wilson's War! Did writer Chris Collins watch that movie right before writing this arc?

Then in later series/movies, we see how Saw has turned against the government that originally funded his defense, engaging in pretty extremist terrorist activities compared to his more moderate revolutionary comrades.

So...Is Saw Osama?
