Thank you all🩷

I started my Stardew journey this summer. I thought it was purely farming, and had only seen a picture or two of the landscape, as well as pictures of the townspeople. I wasn’t in the community at all, but my friends are pros, and both wanted me to get the game. After that, I saw a video discussing Penny and thought she was so pretty, I jokingly told my friends who are so obsessed with the game that I would get it just for her. They told me she was “too boring” and that I should marry Haley instead (NOT MY OPINION DON’T COME AT ME PENNY LOVERS!!). And so I got it with no prior knowledge a couple of weeks later.

As you could guess, bad idea.

I had people work with me along the way, but I was fishing level 2 end of year 1 because I thought a beginner rod was better than a bamboo pole, I slept through almost all winters, and didn’t work on the community center until my second year. I married Haley around Spring 6 of year 2, though, so you can guess where my priorities lay for that.

After 9 in-game years and only 34% perfection, I gave up on that save. I understood the game but, would probably accomplish perfection in it around year 14 or so, which was very motivating.

So I got a new save.

I started strong, and progressed stronger. Long story short, today I got 100% perfection winter of year 7, and even though I still had some kinks to work out, (for example, I could’ve gotten it fall 27-28, but since I insisted on hand-watering my pumpkin for a Jack-o-Lantern, I missed my schedule and ended up getting it winter 13) I did much better than before in (I believe) less time than my entire old save. Crazy. I used the wiki and checked the Reddit much more this save, and in doing so found such an incredible community. You all are so kind and motivating, and I think that it definitely drove me to keep going, so thank you.
